Duration of Course

The BSc Nursing course comprises of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th year. A candidate shall undergo a compulsory internship programme during the 4th year of the curriculum and degree will be awarded only after successfully completion of the internship.

Clinical training will be carried out to the students to perform clinical duties and exposure to hands-on practical sessions.

Students will be eligible to appear in the fourth year of final examination only after completing clinical training.

Attendance

To appear for the degree exam, the candidate should have a minimum of 80% attendance in theory and practical separately in each subject. The candidate undergoing a nursing course at the Abhaya College of Nursing, Bangalore should complete the entire period as a full-time student.

Study and Scheme of Examination

BSc Nursing course has theoretical subjects in all four academic programme. Practical and Viva Voce will be conducted for subjects such as Nursing Foundations, Medical Surgical Nursing (1 & 2), Child Health Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Midwifery, and Obstetrical Nursing and Community Health Nursing.

Frequent internal assessments are carried out all four years in the curriculum of BSc Nursing in Bangalore.
